The Fund
A $300,000 portfolio of mostly stocks, plus bonds and cash, approved by WPI's Board of Trustees. Students research, pitch, and manage the positions, with oversight from faculty advisors.
How the fund is run
Analysts build the case
Each analyst covers a sector and researches ideas in depth: the business, the valuation, and the main risks.
Ideas are pitched and debated
Analysts present their thesis to the fund manager and the team, and defend it before a position is opened or resized.
Faculty review
Five faculty advisors oversee the portfolio and the process, and the fund reports to WPI's Board of Trustees.
